I think more has probably been said about Amos on this forum than any other body of water.  Just type "amos" in the search bar right under the bass pro shops banner.

Quick update.  Animal control called and left a message today asking for the peoples address.  They have been trying to find it but had no luck so we will call back the next time they are open to give them that info.  Hopefully they will go talk to the people.

So the DEM officer I spoke with said he was going to relay the information to the officer that patrols my area and he is going to check it out.

I was rushed by a big German Shepherd that was not on a leash today for the second time.  Both times, the owner call the dog to her afterwards and turns around and walks away before she can be confronted.  Well, today I let her know if I see her dog off the leash again on state property I will be calling the cops.  She has been letting the dog "do its duty" in the middle of the trail and doesn't clean up after it.  I stepped in it yesterday.  No more being polite, no more giving chances, if I catch someone breaking the law back there I am calling the cops.  Until then, I will return every piece of dog crap that I find back there right to their front step.  I think they take the dog back there so they don't have to clean up their own yard.

Matt, shoot me a PM for my address if you want to just park in my yard.  It is right before that public right of way and the walk back isn't much further at all.  I am going to give DEM a call tomorrow because I have no phone signal where I am now but I will let you guys know what they say.

I actually did think about installing a game camera.  I also thought about a pit across the pond for the under age drinkers.  I will start with DEM and take it from there.

The other thing about these people, is they live on a public right of way that has a gate which goes back to the pond.  You ARE allowed to park in front of the gate yet I have heard that the guy threatens to call the cops on people and people worry about him doing damage to their cars.  Enough is enough.

Thanks Curt, that is what I will do.  The kid also cut some small pine trees on the other side of the pond leaving 4' tall stumps which isn't only dangerous but also illegal.

I am sorry if this is the wrong spot but I don't know where else to post it.

When I moved in to where I am living now the beautiful pond a short walk through the woods from my back yard was a HUGE plus.  On the other side of the pond there were fire pits with beer cans littered around the area.  About a year and a half ago some new people moved in up the street and since then, the trees and shrubs along the edge on my side of the pond have been cut and destroyed, litter from beer cans and bottles to snelled hook wrappers and old fishing line is everwhere and graffiti on the old pump house.  I know the kid that moved in is responsible for destroying the trees and I am willing to bet some of the beer cans are from his father.  If I catch the kid in the act or the father tossing a beer can I am going to be on the phone with DEM and the local police.  Until then, what can I do?  I have thought about trying to get some "carry out what you carry in" signs from dem hoping that the people will see that DEM is taking an interest in the area.  Besides that, what are my options?  Trying to keep things somewhat legal but I am quickly getting fed up.

talkin to VANDAM after the weigh in, He had mentioned that I, had talked to him on the water, and son of a gun, Vandam remembered, He told my buddy that I was on 1 of his best found weedlines, for the week, He remembered the boat I was in, and even the hat I was wearing, I am proud of that.

They are normal guys just like us, only we bust our hump to make our money.  Glad KVD is a stand up guy and realises that.  It is always nice to bump into someone that has money and is on TV and finding out that they are down to earth people.  It is kind of rare these days.  Not to get of topic but I bumped in to James Woods last year and he was a VERY nice, humble guy.

Anyone else down to buy some of those propane torches used to heat asphault and thaw out a pond or 2?
