Nice Boat Mitz!
I built a trailer this year for my Yak this winter. I don't think I will ever do that again..... :nope:
Added a new Hook 4  Lowrance. First time having a GPS and sonar coming out of a Elite 3 with DSI only. I think this Hook will help.

Don't feel bad Chase, been slow for me in RI. Glad you finally hit a good day.

I am dedicated to run my troller on my yak more this year, to cover more water. All I have done since February is study fishing and tackle vids on youtube.
Everyone agrees with Curt about the Jerk bait. It seems when I get on the water, my indecisions gets the best of me. Although I have tried to slow everything down. The two I caught this year have been on deep running crank baits.  :hmm:

The senko has always been my go to bait in summer. I love to fish a spinner. I've been messing with tube baits for the first time this year. Nada.
I do like the lipless crack too.  :puking:

Good luck up in Maine and have a great year! Planning to do one trip to Conway Lake hopefully when it warms up.

Thank you for reading my post.

Spring is here! Had a great opening day at Melville, lower pond, portsmouth RI with a two landlubber friends. 3+3+5 rainbows.
I have been out on my Old Town Predator 13 Kayak a few times. Hit Hunts river last weekend. With the 22 mph wind and much overhang, not a very good day. So I hit my home Pond, Stafford, Tiverton, on Sunday. A rare day not with the BGFF, she was sick. Caught one tiny Larry.

Oh yes to the Subject: Just shouting out to any Fish Yakers out there, to start up some dialog and possibly some fish trips?
So if you have read this, let me know if you yak, where you fish and if you are interested doing a home and away pond/lake swapping trip.

I know Stafford Pond pretty well, been keeping a tight line there for a few years now. I duped the south end Adam's rock. My Son, Adam and I fished there a few years ago on a full moon day/night. We had great success. I had a Giant break my line on a bolder with my fav spinner at the end. He let me hear it twice within 30 minutes jumping and trying to shake it out. As if to pour salt in the wound.

My son Adam gets bored easy, 20yo at the time, so he got out of his Yak and climbed onto the Big Boulder in the south end. That coupled with the many fish we caught that day, I dubbed it Adam's rock. Well, it is close to Adamsville RI. Yes, there is a village in Tiverton called Adamsville.

Anyway, Fish Yakers shout out, Let's do some fish yaking.

You can see me and some fishing episodes on Youtube, RJUnleashed.
Thanks RJ

Congrats with finding a club. Good luck this year.
Hope to see you catching some fish here in RI.
Peace, Out

I noticed your post about club tournies. Hi my name is RJ  and live in Bristol, just up the bay from newport. I am not a seasoned tournament fisherman, but have been fishing most of my life. I would be interested fishing in tournaments. I am a kayak fisherman, but have been on and owned sail and power boats all my life, so I know the rules of the road etc.

I am getting into the fish scene very much so this year. New gear, lures, reading and studying any tips i find relevant. Monday I am in a golf leauge but available mostly any other night. Saturdays are tough sometimes, but my job is flexible.

If you want to talk, that would be great, if you found a fisherman already, welcome to RI!
