Wow  :o

I'm surprised to hear this. That tourney has been being held for as long as I can remember, way back into the 1980s. It may possibly have been in existence before that, but that's the earliest I remember it.

I remember deciding not to fish it last year because the entry fee had gone way up.

@tritonmike Thanks for the info.

I guess I don't have to decide whether to fish it or not this year.

I am currently in that club and we had a club meeting about that tournament this last Saturday. It's actually currently in the works of getting the permit pulled still and hopefully having it April 2nd. The tourney rules will obviously change a bit since there is no longer nation insurance covering the toirnament. The coordinators are looking into it more but as of now it looks to be still happening.

@Ripken_240 Thanks for the update

Do you know what the entry fee will be if it is held?

I'm under the assumption that it's staying the same but don't Mark my words.

Little more up to date info. As of right now we are waiting on the permit to be pulled but details as of now are:
-Pretty much same rules as last year
-$150 a boat
 -time is 7-3
-5 fish linit
-Date is looking like April 2nd
-Most likely a 20 boat limit because of parking. Will talk to Geers about additional parking but that's it for now
-Entry is pay at the ramp first come first serve
-All boats must carry insurance and carry proof of it

Again this is not 100%. Just trying to keep you all in the loop!

Thanks for the updates!

Is that correct regarding entry, pay at the ramp only?

@bassking Are you referring to a cutoff for pre-fishing?

@Ripken_240 This is a good question! Any info for us on this?
