Heat Wave Coming!
« on: January 06, 2018, 02:27:42 PM »
Well, after being battered by extreme cold, a potential new record low temperature tonight, and a major Nor' Easter, it looks like we'll be catching a break next week!

Not sure if it's a January thaw, or just a general change in the weather trends. But, either way, next week is looking like 30s and 40s all week! They're even hinting at a slight possibility of breaking the 50 degree mark on Friday  :o

Not sure yet how much of it will actually happen, but at least it gives us a glimmer of hope of getting some weather that's a bit more "normal".

Personally, I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, a really nice mess. I would not be sad at all if the tempetures stayed like that and there wasnt anymore snow this year!

I did see some waters opening up the last few days, mostly those with a quick water turnover. The inflows keep melting and re-icing.

Being Febuary, This is the time where we are going to get some snow. Hopefully we will have ice out conditions in 5 weeks. Definetly cannot wait to be on the water again. Havent caught a fish in too long!

It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out with the rain and warmer temps yesterday.

Would love to see open water by the 1st of March!

I noticed Saturday that Chapman had a few open spots. Maybe 10-15% of the lake. But the spots were scattered here and there. No large open areas. Still, it's a start
