chart icons and sybols

Chart symbols and icons will have different meanings.  Generally all of the symbols, abbreviations and icons found on our charts are based on those of the government.  For a full listing you can find this document on the NOAA website at http://nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/mcd/chart1/ChartNo1.pdf.

All of our chart products also include the Xplain? features, which provides additional, easy-to-understand details for chart icons and symbols.  Accessing this information is easy on your Navionics mobile apps!

Get chart details directly on the map screen by using the cross hairs. Tap the pop-up or the question mark to go to the object information screen. You will receive a list of icons/objects in the general area and you can find more information by tapping the ones with an arrow ( > ) symbol.
