Lake seQuester Toaday

Went to Lake seQuester Toaday. I was flying solo and my best fishing partner had other commitments. Glad he did too because I did wonderfully without him. 😄

Got up a little later than I wanted and did not actually start fishing until 7:30. By 11:30 I called it quits because there was no breeze and the sun was sucking the juices out of this Fatman Batman. 😀

Was heavy fog heading out in the morning. Thank the Lord and Humminbird for fishfinder with GPS.

Anyway I in the 4 hours I fished I nailed 9 decent smallies. Two of them qualified for Mass State Catch and Release pins. One of the pictures I screwed and must have moved the fish trying to use the camera. Biggest weighed 4lb 6oz and the other took the scale at 4lb 3oz. Had 4 other heavy three pounders and 4 in the heavy two/light 3 pounds.

A very decent fishing day. Not many folks fishing and the fish were cooperative. Managed a shot of an eagle that was watching me.

FOG:

YOU COULD SEE ABOUT 50' IN FRONT OF THE BOAT.  I KEPT THE SPEED DOWN IN HOPES OF AVOIDING A COLLISION.

THE FOG DID START TO LIFT AS I WAS GETTING TO MY FIRST SPOT.

PIN OR CLOSE TO IT!

2 POUNDER

CLOSE TO A PIN

PIN FER SHURE.

EAGLE

PIN FISH BUT I MOVED IT TAKING THE PICTURE.  OH WELL I DON'T SENT THE PICTURES IN ANYWAY.  JUST MORE poop FOR THE KID TO THROW AWAY WHEN I PASS ON THE THAT FISHING HOLE IN THE SKY.

A gun is like a parachute.  If you need one and don't have one you will probably never need one again.

Wow! Those are some beautiful smallies!!

Fog can be pretty intense to navigate in, even on small lakes. So I can imaging the Q must be even worse.

And yes, thank God for GPS!
