Brown bass

I need 7 like this one Saturday.

Drop shotted today. Never retied. Swung fish into the boat. Had a wind knot in the leader. Never losted a fish. Weird gloomy all day fog on Great Pond. Couldn't see shore most of the day.

Guessed wrong and stayed shallow. Panicked and ditched it with an hour to go to catch a limit fish in 30 feet 3 1/4 pounds. Disappointing finish in first trail event. Great turnout in what has become the best trail in New England.

Bummer  :crying:

Too bad you didn't figure that out much sooner. Looks like you could have done really well if you had

So is that you in 24th place?

By the way, which trail is that?

That's us team 17 in 24th place. Next one is father's day on Androscrogin lake. Some ground to make up. Maine Man vs Bass trail. Guys do a great job as good or better than the Divisional or national tournaments that I have attended. I prefer jerk baiting to deep in the spring. A couple of good catches kept me shallow. Spent an hour after the tournament fizzing other teams fish.....if your going to fish deep learn how to care for your catch.

Great Pond is a blast. Favorite lake for smallmouth. Disappointing finish but shallow has been very good to me over the years there. We were a day or 2 early.

Some ground to make up.

I'm sure you'll make up some ground in the next one!
