I drove by Chapman's Pond a few times today. Ice coverage was probably 60-70%. Can't believe it!

I'm hoping that by the end of the weekend it'll be open again.

Yeah...this really stinks :P

I had a feeling that after a mild winter we'd pay the price in March and April.  We just don't get a spring anymore!

Checked several ponds today, some still locked up others breaking up and one wide open. With the high winds scheduled for Monday and 50's for Tuesday we should have some open water for next weekend.

Definitely seems that way. Winter comes late and stays late. We end up with about 3-4 weeks of spring. And then we go right into Summer!
