I haven't had a chance to drive by any local waters lately. How are they looking? Ant ice left?

Just drove by Chapman's Pond. 100% iced in. Didn't look very thick, but it was definitely fully covered.

Heard from my wife's brother that he saw some people ice fishing on a local lake today. Not sure how thick the ice was, but there were some people out on it.

Didn't need my auger at Beach...me and my silver buddy piled them up! Hoping to get back next week we found a pile of fish and bait.

Drove by Chapman Pond this afternoon. About 20% open, but only well away from shore. The entire shore is locked in ice. Not sure how thick it is, but it doesn't look safe for sure.

As of Saturday afternoon, Chapman Pond was about 80% covered in ice again. I'm sure with the cold temps Saturday night and yesterday it is probably 100% covered now.

But with the today through Wednesday, and the rain coming Wednesday, it'll likely be wide open again by the end of the week. What a rollercoaster ride this winter!

Chapman Pond was wide open today when I drove by. I had to fight the urge to drive home and hook up the boat and head out for a few hours just to wet a line. Just had too many other things to get done today to be able to forfeit time in the office to go fishing.

I know, I know. Priorities   (giggle)
