I was thinking the same thing, @Mitz  :o

I don't recall ever having these kinds of temps during the first week of September!

The water temps are still hanging at 80 degrees or slightly higher, which is unheard of for this time of year. Looks like a very slight cool-down on Thursday and Friday, but still very, very warm!

It'll definitely throw a twist into the tourney to make it interesting.

See everyone there!

Should be a good night for fishing with the moon in the rearview mirror...I was thinking about getting in, but with only 8 spots available I didn't want to bump someone out that fished it in previous years. If you decide to expand it next year I might jump in.

Yep. Having the moon waning and not rising until midnight that night is a definite plus. I can't wait to see what the weights are like this year.

I have caught some of my biggest fish in many species very close to moonrise times. Big bass are in tune with it with age on them, they know when it is just like we know sunrise's.

It can be a trigger for fish to feed or flee. Smaller ones just shut off and you can't buy a bite, a good time to switch gears and throw a 12" black worm on and slow right down.

As of right now, I will be donating a few buzzbaits for 4th place. If anyone else has items to donate, they would be appreciated.

If not, we will pay cash for 1st through 3rd and a prize pack for 4th.
