Warning, when you see the Ranger you will want it ;D

As a fishing platform it's very stable and has a nice deck layout  8)  Nice boats!

So yeah, Looks like I'm going with the Ranger. (dam that new boat smell!)

Is there any wiggle room to haggle price on a new boat? Ask for any freebies? Do I at least get a Ranger hat when I buy it?

I so appreciate all the input from you guys!

Good choice, that's a nice rig 8) Probably not much wiggle room, those boats sell pretty fast!  You should get a hat ;D

Go to Rangers site and see what the spring promotions are, usually a free cover, cash back or free gear.

Good luck 8)

I couldn't get anywhere on the price of my txw,  I was able to get a 1000 dollar bass pro gift card and extended warranty on the motor rolled in.  The advertisement was for 500 dollar gift card and 5 year on the motor.

Check other ranger dealers that may give you a better price on the exact same rig and print out a quote, see if they will at least match it. Either way best of luck to you with your new boat and get the 75hp merc on the ranger.

Dealer prices on these boats are usually pretty close, from one dealer to another.

Like the others said, try to get other freebies thrown in. Travel Cover, TM upgrade, etc. And definitely squeeze a hat out of them. It's the least they can do.

Be sure to let us know hot it goes and show us some pics!

Portland Yacht has (2) 2015 Tin Rangers for sale (RT 178 and Rt 188):

http://www.portlandyacht.com/power_boats.php
These guys take care of my outboard.......couldn't ask for better service. Don't know if you can get a better deal or not. Reynolds sells a lot of boats. PY is a relatively new dealer.

Also I noticed that REO Marine and South Portland Maine is a new Triton dealer; saw a picture of a Triton metal boat that was at a boat show last weekend.........might check that one out......they are made in the same building by same crew as the Ranger. You could be their very first customer there

Going back down tomorrow morning to give them a deposit and see what kind of finance rate they can offer. I have a descent rate at my credit union, so either way.

Went with the 75hp and 80lb Fortrex. Will have a Huminbird 798 ci SI in the dash linked to 899 ci SI up front with 360 imaging.

Will work on the "swag" freebies when I get there tomorrow morning. Will probably take delivery mid April.

I think this will make a mighty fine first fishing machine.

 ;D

So I added a 10' Talon to the back  8)

Will definetly get pics up after I pick it up.
