Gonna be a cold start for the World Series tonight in Boston!

Looking forward to see how this all plays out.

I love how they dubbed the series: The Birds against the Beards...LMAO

Hard to believe these 2 teams played in 3 other World Series against each other.

Go Sox!

Even more bizarre when you think of how too few series the Sox have played in.

Well, here we go again tonight. I doubt you'll see the sloppy play from the Cards again tonight. Should be a great game!

Go Sox!

Definitely John. The cards didn't even look like a World Series team last night. But I'm sure they'll come back stronger tonight.

Go Sox!!

The Sox play slipped last night and it cost them! Error's hurt in the WS :P

Might be a long series 8)

2 run offense was the real problem

Exactly. You can't win a series depending solely on a home run or two.

Furthermore, one sloppy play was by a pitcher and pitchers can't throw to bases anyway...they don't practice enough.  The second by a catcher, so the team behind the pitcher played OK.

Well, a best of 5 series starting tonight. I think Peavy will twirl a gem and avenge his last shaky start.

It really stinks that the Sox have to remove either Ortiz or Napoli from the batting line up. MLB really needs to address this. I believe the Sox had a winning record against the NL, but I'm not sure how they did as visitors?

Oh well, I'm off the soap box.

Go Sox!

What's that all about anyway? I haven't followed baseball closely enough to know about these quirky little rules.

National league has no designated hitter, the pitcher has to bat. So when AL teams play in NL parks they can't use the DH, their pitcher has to hit in his place.

An advantage to the NL teams because they can use an extra hitter when playing in AL parks :P

Thanks Joe. I had forgotten about that NL rule.
