Shallow water
« on: March 30, 2013, 05:59:36 AM »
I'm looking for a sonar unit that excels in shallow water. I don't expect to see fish but want to track the depth and especially, structure. Most units seem to have a hard time staying with the bottom, especially in weedy waters. Again, its not about power and photo-like resolution, just consistency. Suggestions based on personal use are appreciated. Thanks.

Have you looked at the new Raymairne Dragonfly with Chirp technology. I have only seen it at shows this sean, but it to be the bottom hugger of all bottom huggers.

FishingChef - have you had any luck at getting a new Sonar/chart Plotter?  Would like to see what you ended up getting....
