Toothy Critter Oddity
« on: May 11, 2011, 11:33:45 AM »
I've caught a bunch of pickerel early this season on soft plastics.  Noticed that in a few cases, they weren't even hooked up...they just mouth the bait and hang on for dear life.  When netted, they open their mouths, and the bait just pops out.  Their lockjaw has enabled me to land 2 over three lbs. this year thus far.  Anyone else noticed this with pickerel landings?
