Pike and Walleye
« on: August 20, 2010, 09:11:56 PM »
Hey guys, sorry I've been inactive for so long.  Had a few vacations and work has kept me really to buisy to post.

Anyways, one of my vacations was to northern Onterio to fish for walleye and pike.  Had a blast, caught 100 walley even and landed a several nice pike.

I have a bunch of pics but am having trouble posting them .. I'll try using photo bucket to get them up.

Just joined the forum....and I'm from Ontario!!
Where abouts did you go?
As the weather gets colder, I head for the deeper lakes, and use 4-6 inch minnows....works great.
Ontario is huge....but I drive to a place called Big Pine Lake.  It has lots of feeders to it, and you can get trophies up to 10 lbs there.  It is north of Sault Ste Marie, if that is near where you go.

(My other passion is two-wheeled and I haven't figured out how to tow the boat yet)   :)

I go to Striker's Point Lodge on Whitewater Lake, its part of Wilderness North Outfitters.
Their base lodge is on Waweig Lake (about 135 miles north of Thunder Bay) and they fly out to 10 different remote lakes.
