gonna replace my tm with a 24volt motor.i already have the batts and a switch to switch between the two for 12volt use.i know i have to hook the batts together but am unsure if i need to mess with the switch.any help will be usefull for something.

No switch needed for a 24 volt TM. Just run a jumper from the positive on one battery to the negative of the other. Then connect the red wire of the TM wiring to the positive of the battery that has the unused + post and the black wire to the unused - post of the other battery.

Let me know if this makes sense to you or not. I can create a drawing of it if you need it Wink

  Dont forget to check the size of your wire. With the 24 volts, it is recommended to upgrade  to a bigger size some times. An extra breaker too.

i already have a breaker in line.the switch i have is for switchin between the two batts i already have in the boat for the 12 volt.i have three batts already.i belive the wire i have is good but will make sure.wont be puttin it on for a few more days atleast
