Fished the Amos lake today. Launched at 7 AM off at 11 AM. Water temps were 81-82. Tried topwater nada, buzzbait zip, spinnerbait, you get the idea. The drop shot was the technique of the day for me. I didn't even through a senko. Air temp was a comfortable 68 at 7AM and 74 at 11 AM. On the drop shot I noticed the thermocline around 10-12 fow. 15 fow was the magic number it seemed today for that technique. Used 4" cut tail worm. Also caught a nice bass off a log in about 8-9 fow on the jig ala black and blue. Never had any luck with any jigs before  in this lake and was pleasantly surprised. The 2 best were over 3 lbs with a few in the 2 lb range.. 5 fish would have went 13-14 lbs today. The pickeral also loved the drop shot. I caught 4 of them on it. Lots of home improvement stuff going on around here plus a new garden. Was relaxing to sneak away for a few hours.

Good job Jerry!

One of these days I'll learn how to fish the dropshot!
