Went out this afternoon from 2:30 to 4:30 and let me tell you, it was HOT! The shoreline water was very warm so I decided to fish a little deeper with a jig and chunk trailer. I had plenty of bites, but all short strikers. It was so bad that when you thought you had one clamp down so you button up, all you got was a one claw trailer back. I switched up to different colors, different size jigs, different presentations and nothing but the same. Finally on the last cast I was able to button up on one....I decided to end my day on that note and the fact that I couldn't keep the sweat off my sun glasses...LOL

Hope you guys are doing better out there in these conditions.

Man Lex, it must have been cooking out there during that time! Sounds like a rough day on the water, but on the plus side you got that one keeper so it makes it all worthwhile right... Wink Going out Sat with my 2 boys early, around 7am or so, do not want to hit that heat.

You're braver than I am. I hate fishing in the brutal heat. It just makes me miserable  Shocked

I was going to make a return trip out today with the air temps down about 10 degrees from the last time (it's about 92 here), but now the humidity levels are actually unbearable.

Will be chasing stripers this weekend. Hopefully the breeze off the Atlantic will be a nice change from what we have here.

Have a good weekend guys.
