Ouch - Ice Update

Well, now that the wind died down, Chapman's Pond is completely iced over again!!

Surprisingly, the ice isn't black either... but a white/gray, which usually means that it's more than just a skim. But... I think part of the color is due to the fact that it froze when the wind was still blowing slightly, causing it to be rippled and rough.

Either way, the temps this weekend should take care of it once and for all.

I went by a few small ponds (mud holes) that looked like they did two weeks ago.

But like you said the weekend and early next week look to be pretty mild ;D
